This assembly could be whole school (secondary age) or used for whole classes or years and can be modified in a number of ways, it doesn’t have to be harvest specific though focuses on several international examples of communities celebrating harvest / food near the beginning.
It then moves on to the mass production of food and its impact before focusing on food poverty, use of food banks and the way that food poverty is not just a third world issue.
Other tweaks are suggested too.
