Automata and Mechanisms Project

A full project - nearly 70 slides shared across 3 sections. These 3 sections are comprised of; an example project plan with thorough visual instructions, a design and make activity with worksheets that cover aspects of the design cycle, and a mechanical systems knowledge builder that covers all the basic content related to mechanisms and mechanical systems. Within this section inputs, outputs and processes, flowcharts, levers, linkages, cams, pivots/ fulcrums, and types of motion are described in detail using animations and interactive slides.

The project also includes many worksheets, interactive quizzes, starters, extensions, practical activities and mini focused practical task projects. Incorporated within worksheet tasks and starters are literacy and numeracy activities as well as the focus on forces and motion (science) inherent in the nature of the content.

The Powerpoint resource is fully adaptable, with Gifs and diagrams that can be copied and pasted into other applications. Also included is a PDF copy of the project.
