Be Internet Legends: Kind Pillar Pack

Welcome to the Be Internet Legends curriculum, which was developed in partnership between Google and Parent Zone.

Be Internet Legends is a multifaceted programme for schools, designed to help teach children aged 7 to 11 the skills they need to be safer and more confident online.

In this pack
This Kind Pillar Pack contains a range of activities that will teach pupils to Respect Each Other when they’re online. The activities help children recognise and manage negative online behaviours.

Two of the activities have a Media Literacy focus, exploring how to turn negative interactions into positive ones. They also promote critical thinking to avoid conflict and misinterpretation online.

Three of the activities have a Social and Emotional Literacy focus, teaching children about empathy and ways to show kindness online.

It includes:

• The Kind Pillar Pack – containing useful vocabulary, 8 classroom activities, and supporting worksheets
• Links to three interactive lessons in Google Slides built around Alert activities, exploring the themes ‘Passwords & Behaviour’, ‘Making Good Decisions Online’, and ‘Relationships & Being Kind’.
