Beginner's Mandarin Chinese for Adults: Part 1: Hello

Ni hao!

Hello and welcome to the very first installment of the Beginner’s Mandarin series for adults, courtesy of Palmer’s Language Services!

Part 1 will look at the very basic greetings and form of address such as Mr and Madam. This resource is designed for teaching students aged 16+ and adults who are learning Mandarin for the very first time. It also looks at the four key skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition, the initial pinyin and the first tone are also incorporated in this activity and if you click on the audio clips, the students can practise along to the recording. I have also included other audio clips such as reading the short story on the front and also the listening activities which follow.
