The following independent and lifestyle skills training record has been developed to support individuals develop core independent/lifestyle skills in the following:

• How to greet someone
• Why do people shake hands
• How to shake someone’s hands?
• Giving Hugs
• Listening
• When you’re in the community
• Sharing
• Helping Others
• What is respect?
• Saying what you think with respect
• Keeping your hands clean
• Why do we shower and bath?
• Learning how to eat healthy
• Learning how to vacuum
• Learning how to sweep
• Learning how to mop
• Learning how to clean your bedroom
• Learning how to compromise
• Manners

Each skill has a one page outline explaining the importance of developing the skill and a one page evaluation sheet to be completed over time and as the skill develops. This is important so that the skill is acknowledged and recorded.

This following resource has been specifically developed for children with special needs/ ADD/ ADHD/ intellectual disability and or individuals with unique communication requirements.
