• English/History – Biography writing unit. Takes students through the process of gleaning biography features from biographies, researching historical black figures, supported note taking and organization of notes leading to the writing of a biography. • English/Geography – Persuasive writing unit. Students research African nations tourists would love, revise the features of persuasive writing, read example persuasive tourism brochures, have the process of planning their own brochure modelled for them & draft a brochure of their own.

• PSHE – Balanced & biased arguments: Should the police be defunded. Students look at two contrasting articles around the topic, glean arguments for and against, discuss their opinions and the benefit of playing ‘devil’s advocate’, are assisted on planning an effective argument, then write a speech, letter or leaflet on the topic.

• RE – Traditional African religions. Information on traditional African religions accompanied by task ideas and mask design sheets.
