This pack of resources contains all you need to teach and mark for the new BTEC Tech Award in Child Development Component 1 Learning Aim A without the book. It contains a powerpoint for both P1 and P2 with the corresponding worksheets for students to complete plus links to clips to watch. It includes helpful teacher assessment guidance checklists that can be used to ensure that students are including all relevant information from the specification in their assessments which can inform accurate marking. These are for teachers guidance only as are too prescriptive for students use. This pack also contains case studies for the completion of M1 and D1- this has both a powerpoint and worksheet to help support the students and the teacher input. Again, there is another teacher assessment guidance to help support the marking and assessment of M1/D1 criteria. The specification has been followed throughout.

TOPICS COVERED IN DETAIL:

  • growth and development (P1)
  • areas of development; physical, intellectual, emotional, social and communication and language (P2)
  • application of areas of development in relation to case studies- positive and negative impacts (M1, D1)
