BUNDLE Health and Social Care Literacy Mats

A bundle of 4 literacy mat for use with the BTEC tech Health and Social Care internal assignments.

Each mat covers:

• command words, their meanings and grading level on the marking criteria
• useful connectives to achieve the command word marking criteria
• a checklist to proof-read work prior to submission
• punctuation and their uses
• common homophones
• common confusions when writing (e.g. it’s/its)
• useful words to transform a simple sentence into a complex one
• Key vocabulary to include when writing coursework - each mat has terminology specific to each component.
