Brilliant Resource for student application is a nice low stakes way. Obviously the issue here is students are thinking really hard, but not writing anything down, so this task is brilliant to get the thinking going. Its worked for every group at every level. If you've got to get your students going, this is the task for them. You can get kids writing on a high stakes task a lot easier after this. Carbon cycle is quite a tricky topic so these are really effective for quick consolidation and application.
