- Ensure the child isn’t with someone you want them to avoid
- Balance abilities and teacher workload
- Ensure a not too uneven boy/girl split
Updates when changes are made so that users can easily see the effects of the changes instantly without having to manually check all of the time. Cells update to green if the child has a friend in the same proposed class and turn red if a child is moved into a class with someone you want them to avoid.

This spreadsheet was such a valuable resource in terms of time saving, efficiency and being able to do this important job of putting children in new classes to a high standard. It didn’t take me very long to input the data and I loved how when you start to input children into their new classes, you can see immediately whether they have a friend or if they are away from children they should avoid. Making changes to make the classes as equally balanced as possible was so quick and easy as you can immediately see the effect that change has had. I will definitely be using this again!
