Consonant Blends with L KS1 / SEND

This literacy resource is designed for KS1 and SEND children, focusing on consonant blends with the letter ‘L’.
The main objectives are to enhance phonetic recognition, improve handwriting, and support spelling skills. Symbols and images are incorporated to aid comprehension and engagement, ensuring the resource is accessible for all learners(Boardmaker Licenced).
The resource includes 10 worksheets: 5 in colour and 5 in black and white.
Each worksheet targets specific two-letter blends:
Page 1 covers “bl” and “cl”,
Page 2 focuses on “fl” and “gl”,
Page 3 addresses “pl” and “sl”.
Pages 4 and 5 are assessment pages, combining various blends: “pl”, “gl”, “cl”, and “fl” on Page 4, and “bl”, “sl”, “fl”, and “gl” on Page 5.
Children are prompted to write words under pictures, with each word shown along the right side in dotted form for tracing.
