This is copied from a thread on my messages. Tonight I answered the atheists statement in some detail and it occurred to me that this conversation would be useful when exploring the God question in school. I would love some feedback, especially questions that your own pupils may ask - so I could make my response more comprehensive and useful. the one I have just put up - (in progress) is probably the last in this series as I am now working with the atheist teacher to turn it into a book which will, hopefully, do justice to both our different viewpoints.

Oh golly! Not at all useful. The author regurgitates apologist arguments that have been used for centuries and debunked often. The counter arguments supporting the existence of a god are at best, mere sophistry, and at worst the arguments are disingenuous or provably flawed.. Unconvincing.

Durgamata, who I have utmost respect for as a contributor, thinker and RE specialist, I don't feel you come out well on this. Firstly, I'm sure your team leader wouldn't be happy about you publicising his/her responses to your private messages (although anonymous, I do hope you checked they were happy to be published). The website in question is just awful: not useful to teach from, totally one-sided and actually quite boring.
