This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at the first half of the poem Cousin Kate. The lesson helps learners understand the key contextual information that has impacted the poem and to gain a good understanding of the poem in terms of language, structure and form.
The lesson has many opportunities for AFL and has been tried and tested with my own groups. The lesson can be taught both online and face-to-face.
