Resource based on the edexcel 2016 spec (9-1) Note - I have included some exam style questions but you will need to use edexcel worksheets for this lesson. This was bottom set Y10 over 2 lessons
Starter: printable quiz to test their existing knowledge (answers on PowerPoint)
Main: Pupils write sentences using work and power. This is followed by an explanation of what they mean in a scientific context and the equations that relate to them. Some questions on the PowerPoint then test their understanding.
Pupils then watch a short video on work done, energy and power in a golfing putt. They then try to relate what they have learned to a sport of their choice. I then gave the option to pick a level of challenge from three of the edexcel worksheets.
