Creating Community Tutor Group Display

Three different resources to help kickstart a Tutor display board that will create a sense of community within your tutor group and ensure all students are held to high standards. This also includes an activity that students can complete in your first tutor session with them, or even on a year 7 induction day.

You will receive:
1 x Tutor contract poster of five tutor values with space for students to sign
1 x set of praise display boxes for students/teachers to record areas of praise throughout the year where values of the tutor contract are demonstrated.
1 x Birthday poster
4 x “About Me” mini display sheets for students

I used these resources with my year 9 tutor group this 2022-23 and they loved them! Students always looked forward to seeing who’s birthday it was (I gave them each cards on their birthday), particularly as multiple students informed me that they never recieved much for their birthday and didn’t really get to celebrate it. Students also enjoyed being able to display something of themselves on the walls. For me as the tutor, the set of values gave me a foundation when I had to address negative behaviour during the year. I’ve designed it to be bright and colourful to add a boost to any classroom. Enjoy using it and adapt to fit your tutor groups!
