Crests and Badges Unit of Work KS1

This cross-curricular resource is designed to engage KS1 children in a variety of learning experiences using a structured yet creative approach.
The provided templates and writing frames encourage observation, discussion, and interactive learning.
The planning sheet offers five ways to use this resource — exploring feelings, numbers, the alphabet, rewards, and celebrations. It includes objectives, instructions and resources needed.
Question sheets are included for most activities, along with a writing template for recording responses. Example completed colour sheets are included.
As children observe and discuss each sheet, they are encouraged to express their ideas by answering questions, decorating, and colouring their work.
This approach supports learning in numbers, phonics, emotional literacy, and celebrations while fostering essential speaking and listening, reading, writing, and drawing skills.
