This is a fully resourced and planned lesson 1 for the Edexcel GCSE Crime and Punishment 1000-Modern day course. This lesson is part of a set of lessons that cover the complete course. About the author: James has been teaching history for over 12 years. He has held positions as Head of History and Faculty. James is a senior examiner for Edexcel and has marked and led on all three papers since the inception of the new specification in 2016. These have included Paper 1 Crime and Punishment, Paper 2 American West and Elizabeth and Paper 3 Weimar and Nazi Germany. James also teaches AQA History A level, with a wide range of resources available for paper 2, Option S, The Making of Modern Britain.
