A crime solving, code breaking activity. Revises multiplication, decimal multiplication, division, decimal addition/subtraction and using BIDMAS/BODMAS.
Pupils answer 5 sets of questions, each on a different topic. The answers (in order) then become a code. Pupils then refer to the crime solving posters (I normally laminate them and set them around the room) To decode the item stolen, the location, the time of day, the motive and ultimately the criminal.
Answers are included on the powerpoint, as is a problem solving starter. The powerpoint and the posters are easily adaptable to change the level of difficulty.
