Ten Cryptic Quizzes – Tutor time, Starter, Plenary, Extension Task

This is a set of ten simple and easy-to-use cryptic quizzes of varying subject matter, including: * Animals * Bands * Body Parts * British Towns & Cities * European Countries * Film Titles * Food * Football Teams * Musical Theatre * Shops Each can be used in lessons or tutor time, ideally for KS3 or KS4. Individually they can be a tutor time activity, lesson supplement or filler task, starter, or plenary. When each are printed the quiz is duplicated on the page to save on printing costs (so simply need cutting in half). Students need to try to work out what the answer word is to the cryptic clues, based on the relevant quiz theme. Answers are provided for self/peer marking also if wanted (again printed two per page to save on printing costs). This bundle is a set of ten PDF documents of two pages, designed to be printed A4 size and then cut in half. One sheet has the quiz on, the other has the answers. Each quiz takes approximately ten to twenty minutes to complete, depending on how good the individual students are at quizzes.
