KS3 lesson for mixed ability year 7/8 students on what current is and measuring current in a parallel circuit. The lesson objectives are for students to identify parallel circuits, to understand that an ammeter must be placed in series to measure current and to link the brightness of bulbs in a parallel circuit and the importance of parallel circuits in the home when it comes to lighting.
The students can follow the worksheets provided that are differentiated with more open-ended questions for the high ability and multiple choice/more closed-ended questions for the lower ability i.e. there is an high-ability and a low ability question sheet.
