This assignment is ideal for students who have been excluded temporarily or are in detention. It asks students to write a letter to a younger student (it doesn’t have to be an actual student!) to give them advice on how to best handle life in school. It is a reflective piece that gives the writer the chance to think about his/her own actions.
It is effective for year 8 or above. It could also work as an activity for PSHE or Form Time.
