Bring excitement and high engagement into your KS2 Maths lessons with The Sweet Factory Thief – Place Value Mystery Game. This multi-page activity challenges pupils to solve a robbery at the sweet factory by completing a series of place value, sequencing, number comparison and value-of-digits tasks.
Across the mystery pack (pages 1–15), pupils work through five clues, including completing number sequences (page 3), comparing multi-digit numbers (page 5), reading numbers in words (page 6), building the largest 4-digit numbers (page 7), and identifying the value of digits (page 8). Each clue eliminates suspects from the case file (page 2), until pupils identify the final thief.
With full answer pages included throughout (pages 10–15), this resource is ideal for independent learning, group work, warm-ups, extension tasks, or end-of-unit problem-solving.
