Division - Functional Skills Maths - Entry Level 2

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 2 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, AQA, Highfield Qualifications, NOCN, Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 42 page workbook and a 125-slide PowerPoint lesson on division -Outcome 8: Divide two-digit whole numbers by single-digit whole numbers and express remainders).

PowerPoint Lesson

This PowerPoint lesson clearly demonstrates what division is, how to divide using short division (bus stop method) and how to deal with remainders. There are plenty of opportunities provided within the PowerPoint for pupils to practise their divsion skills and to use division in solving treal-life problems when appropriate. The PowerPoint can be used to introduce the division component of the Entry Level 2 specification and for revision purposes.

Workbook

The 42-page workbook contains 15 information/explanation pages, 24 worksheets, two progress checks, a certificate of achievement and answers.
