Dreamgiver (LKS2) - 8 Lesson Writing Sequence - The Literacy Shed

This download includes all slides and resources for an 8 lesson writing sequence, inspired by the video Dreamgiver available on Youtube & The Literacy Shed. It produced very successful writing outcomes for a Year 3 cohort but could be tailored for other year groups.

The writing sequence is built up of initial text exploration, where children produce short writing pieces related to the text. Children then explore persuasive devices, before applying them in a letter that they plan, draft, revise/edit and publish (persuarding the Dreamgiver to bring them a dream of their choice).
