This ‘Design to Product’ 6 week scheme of work uses an appreciation of the professional work Nutcracker! by Matthew Bourne to develop an understanding of dynamics in dance. Suited for key stage 3, it is very interactive, creative and a subtle way of introducing the professional Ballet.
I have used this very successfully with boy heavy, mixed groups and it has been memorable for students of all abilities.
