Speaking and listening is a key starting point, each rhyme can also be used as a focus for cross themed/curricular work. In addition to vocabulary, communication and language and early literacy development the rhymes link to all of the EYFS areas of learning. The rhymes provide ideal focus points for weeks of fun, creative, active and interactive language play, development and learning.
