Personal statement for newly qualified teachers starting as an ECT1.
Good quality statement which has gotten me an interview at every school I have applied to. It has been viewed and edited by friends who work as SLT and Headteachers.
Highlighted sections are for you to change the section to fit the criteria for the school, what you liked about the school and your own interestd outside of school.
I also have attached a small email which I send when applying via email.
If you are applying through any other means I find it good practice to email the school direct stating you have applied and ‘look forward to hearing from them soon’. It is always good to get your name remembered by any means necessary.
This should cover most personal specification requirements but please do check the schools person spec before submitting this personal statement.
