EDEXCEL GCSE (9-1) Geography A: Component 3 UK Challenges-Epic Card Sort Revision Pack
This is a choose your own adventure style card sort.
Each decision takes you on a different journey through the challenges facing the UK today, which fits perfectly in line with the EDEXCEL specification.
This card sort journey took a month to make and has proven a really useful starter/plenary for every lesson I teach on UK Challenges - And last year when timings were against us, it was used effectively to teach students all the key ideas and key terms covered in the topic.
Cards can be printed out, hole punched and then connected together in order using a treasury tag, thus allowing students to access each numbered card in sequence, as directed by each choice they make along the way.
I’ve attached this document in Word format, so once it’s downloaded you can update information, add any choices & /or specific case study examples that you like.

Really good resource, something totally different for paper 3, which some students may find difficult to prep for as it's so varied. I really liked the fact that when you got to the end of the run of cards you were given some facts and figures. Made a classic student mistake myself with one of them not reading to the end of the text and so thought the card was incorrect!. Haven't tried to print the 2 resources together so the cards have the number on the back. Only thing I don't think I've seen reference to is the two speed economy - but there is a lot here so I may have missed it.
