English Information Page - Galapagos Animals Y5/6

This 8 lesson English unit on information pages, aimed at Year 5/6, allows children to learn about the Galapagos giant tortoise before researching and making their own information page about the incredible marine iguana.
The unit begins with a whole class reading lesson so children can dive straight into the genre, before doing some sentence work (in a Jane Considine style) that builds on using punctuation in lists, relative clauses, complex sentences and precise verbs. Children then design and write their own information page on the research they’ve done about marine iguanas.
