A reading comprehension task which looks at an extract from the novel ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell. There are basic comprehension questions, language analysis questions, vocabulary questions and an a theme question looking at how the animals cope with setbacks. This resource is based on skills needed for Literature Paper 1 (all exam boards) but it is modified to make it accessible for KS3 pupils. The extract is from Chapter 8.
