Entre les murs - analysis of conseil de classe & Souleymane storming out scene

This is a worksheet which examines in detail the two key scenes of the film - the conseil de classe and the “petasse” scene where Souleymane eventually lashes out, tutoies M. Marin and storms out of the room.
It consists of:

• a list of French vocabulary which should be looked up as part of a ‘pre-reading’ activity,
• a list of questions in French about the scene, enabling the students to describe what is happening (and then why it is so important.)
• a list of quotes which the students need to identify - who says them and to / about what / whom.
• answers to the above.
  It is ideal for homework or to be done in class.
