Some computers wouldn't be able to cope with one HUGE file (tens of MBs!) covering all the exercises on the same unit. Add up all the file sizes together and you'll understand. It's all down to being well prepared at the beginning of the lesson, open all the ppt files you need in reverse order, close each file after use and the next one is already ready for use. Like that, you don't waste time during the course of the lesson.
I quite often find your resources when preparing a lesson, but I have one question I can't answer: Why not having ONE powerpoint with different slides? It would be much easier for everyone (including for your lesson where you wouldn't have to open a new file every 5 minutes.
