Fake News – Internet Safety Assembly or Lesson (KS2)

This is an E-safety assembly or lesson, which explores the current trend of so-called ‘fake news’ online. Children can discuss what fake news is, consider how it can be harmful in many different ways, and identify strategies to avoid sharing it with others through social media. This is a highly valuable and topical resource, given recent concerns about children’s exposure to extreme, dangerous or conspiratorial views online.

This resource is most suitable for upper Key Stage 2 and is fully resourced with planning, an 18-slide teaching PowerPoint (containing independent tasks) and supporting templates.
