AQA EDEXCEL This is an ideal resource to get your learners talking about their food preparation skills, not only when studying towards their GCSE. Learners are encouraged to name the many illustrated items, describe their use and discuss what skills they will apply when using them.
A vocabulary list contains the terminology for the items in the pictures. This can be used to differentiate for weaker students.
The board game and cards are available in A4/letter or A3/tabloid format.
The board game is self-explanatory.
The cards can be printed for use as mini-flashcards or if printed on card and/or laminated could be used for e.g. ‘snap’ or ‘pairs’.

All workbooks are ideal for substitution work but also for consolidation work, revision, classwork or homework. Each workbook covers a selection of skills as listed in their titles. A few tasks are research tasks and would require access to the internet and/or to a variety of recipe books. Most tasks are suitable for students to complete individually prior to discussing their answers in pairs, groups or indeed in class. This bundle also includes 6 sets of colourful picture cards and 3 sets of word cards. These cards can be used in a multitude of ways, e.g. consolidation, differentiation, labelling tasks, display, games (pairs, snap, etc…), the list is endless. :) Use the board games to help your students consolidate or revise what they have learnt on preparation skills so far.
