This resource includes 17 slides which can either be printed out for children or projected onto a whiteboard to help explain fractions starting with halves, thirds and quarters and moving on to other fractions such as fifths and eights. The slides help to explain what a numerator and denominator are and how to work out fractions of numbers including fractions that do not have 1 as the numerator.
The product goes on to have 20 printables for children to work on including:
- 9 printables looking at fractions of shapes
- 2 printables looking at writing the fraction to go with a shape
- 9 printables looking at fractions of numbers
There are then 35 task cards that can be printed onto card or laminated for use with pegs to clip on to the correct answer. This can then be used as a maths activity.
