Two-page French activity worksheet for Black History Month, presenting and drilling vocabulary and phrases useful to discussion of the topic in French, and introducing the related events in the French calendar (la Journée nationale des mémoires de la traite, de l’esclavage et de leurs abolitions, and le Mois des cultures d’Afrique).

There is a short introductory reading passage with a glossary of key words, as well as a comprehension quiz and two vocabulary-driven activities; all texts aim to activate general reading and context / gist skills beyond the listed vocab.

The level is appropriate for KS4 pre-GCSE groups (Years 9-11, ages 14-16), but would also be useful for proficient KS3 groups covering society-based topics in class.

Great as homework or as a cover lesson worksheet. An answer key is included, so the worksheet can be used by non-subject specialist educators as well.
