Three-page activity worksheet on Charlemagne, in French, from a series on French culture and history topics. Aimed at around A2 on the CEFR scale (ideal for proficient Key Stage 3 groups). Presents twelve vocabulary items and associated activities, including a web quest style quiz and a ‘jumbled chronology’ game (which could be printed out and cut up for a practical slant on it!). The goal is to support general reading skills beyond any particular vocabulary topic; students are challenged to understand words in context and gist.
