French - Earth Hour / Earth Day Worksheet (Une heure pour la planète / Le jour de la Terre)

This four-page French activity worksheet introduces the topics of Earth Hour (Une heure pour la planète) and Earth Day (Le jour de la Terre). It aims to equip students with the vocabulary and structures to talk about the initiatives themselves, as well as wider themes of the environment and environmentalism in French.

The worksheet comprises four short texts along with comprehension questions and glossaries of key words for each. A third page includes vocabulary exercises to consolidate new words, with an ‘over to you’ writing exercise on the fourth page.

The language level is around A2 on the CEFR scale (ideal for a proficient Year 8/9 group), with plenty of cognates designed to encourage gist-reading longer texts.
