French Halloween Reading Comprehension Activity

This original three page story from Chez Nathalie is about a haunted house. Two children, Marc and Pierre, make a bet with a new student at their school, Jacques. If Jacques is able to stay in the house for five minutes on October 31st, he will receive all of Marc and Pierre’s Halloween candies. If Jacques loses the bet, he must give his Halloween candy to them. Will Jacques win the bet? What will he find in the house? This story is accompanied by questions about comprehension, vocabulary, inferences, and personal connections. You may use this product as an evaluation tool or as an exercise to practice the different competencies of reading.
