Here is a resource I've adapted from a wipe out game I found on the TES a while ago.
It is focused on a year 7 French class which we are introducing to infinitive verbs for the first time.
I have added a few slides prior to the game to introduce it. From the previous starter (which was a match up), pupils are given a few instructions: they are to highlight the 2 last letters from the verbs to deduce a way of recognising infinitive verbs. The teacher will then challenge the pupils:
"Can you find all of the INFINITIVES in the grid?
3 WIPEOUTS = GAME OVER!!!!"
Then move on to a funny picture and then the game!
A good way of playing the wipe out game is by setting a timer (2 minutes usually do) and tell pupils to pick their box/word by first saying the colour (in French fro extra challenge) and then the verb written.
Please let me know how it goes :) !
