NEW! This GCSE Photography project on the theme of ‘Visual Elements’ is perfect as an introductory project as well as for developing students’ photography skills. It is easy to navigate by a non-specialist Photography teacher as well as suitable for the specialist teacher. Written with references to DSLR cameras, this is easily adaptable for mobile phone use. References are made to both historical and contemporary photographers/designers, such as Karl Blossfeldt, Aaron Siskind and Francis Bruguiere. As well as teaching some of the fundamentals of photography in easy to understand language, step-by-step stages of editing styles using Photoshop are included so that students explore both photography skills and ways of developing their work. This detailed project includes starters, knowledge recall and photography analysis slides to support practical work in a full and coherent GCSE project.

This unit of work can be taught as a stand alone project or in unison with others listed on my uploaded resources to form a full scheme of learning across Y10 and Y11.
