Orwell’s novella Animal Farm (1945) was written as a warning of the way in which power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Orwell felt strongly about the growth of authoritarian governments in Europe and based his animal characters on actual people. This poster shows all of the characters in Animal Farm and lists which leader or group in society they were intended to represent. Aside from helping students visualise the characters, it is also a great reference for history enthusiasts.
