There are two differentiated ‘recipes’, children must soilve the problems on the recipe to determine the quantities needed for their marvellous medicine.
A bit of shopping is required for ingredients (water+food colouring, flour, muesli, custard powder and Angel delight) and it can get a bit messy, but my class loved it and everyone was engaged in every aspect of the maths.
