An engaging mystery set in a German Christmas market for your pupils to solve whilst practising their German language skills and increasing their cultural knowledge. Each completed activity provides pupils with a clue to enable them to eliminate people from the list of suspects and ultimately find the villain.
The pupil booklet sets the scene and offers five different Christmas and Christmas market themed activities:
- Match the German Christmas vocabulary to the pictures
- Categorise products sold at a Christmas market
- Matching traditional German Christmas items to their English meanings
- Find the hidden message in the Lebkuchenherzen
- Find the odd one out.
Pupils may need access to a dictionary or device to help them with vocabulary and identifying the German Christmas items.
A teacher guide booklet is included with the answers, tips and the story conclusion.
