Getting to know the atom

I use this sheet when introducing the atom at the beginning of GCSE Chemistry.

The intention was to have one sheet where all of the important information could be found. It also requires very little student input (and could be edited to require even less!), allowing them to focus on a key idea in Chemistry.

The only student input required is:

• adding labels for the nucleus and shells (I use the white space to the right of the diagram to do this)
• and completing the table at the bottom.
