A nursery/Reception assembly retelling the story of ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ by Giles Andreae. The teacher acts as the narrator, then there are 6 other speaking parts. Every other child will wear an animal mask and perform in a short dance as a group. The assembly includes full script, links to 6 songs and actions.
I also used these dances to teach very fun PE lessons.
This is a great way to allow Nursery/Reception children to do a fun assembly they can be proud of and not just stand up and show pictures of their work.
