Good Conduct and Key Moral Principles - Good Conduct - Predestination

I actually found that when I used this resource with my classes, we discussed the questions on the power point and the information/video provided for the first 11 slides for at least 2/3 of the lesson. My classes were already familiar with predestination at this point, so it was more of a chance to recap/discuss any issues. We also went through the notes from the text book together, particularly the strengths and weaknesses. <br /> <br /> The task to make notes from the text book was more of a homework. I was completing a school project at the time to get 6th form students to find different ways of note making, and this topic seemed like a perfect opportunity to test out the students' skills, which, by this point, had been tested by a variety of note making homework based tasks. Hence the variety of option - Cornell notes, visual notes, spider diagram, mind map. <br /> <br /> I would agree that anyone can make notes from the text book. However, from my experience with this lesson, I found that this was a more discussion based topic, giving students then the chance to expand by using the exam content given in the textbook. I then used the next lesson starter for them to teach each other what they had learned and used it as a mini debate on whether predestination actually works.
