This Halloween CVC Word Game set is a fun and engaging way to focus on short vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and CVC spelling skills so as to:

• improve fluency in decoding and reading CVC words
• reinforcing phonics and is also great for reading intervention

Prep

Simply print, laminate and cut out the cards

Direction for Memory Game:

Shuffle and place cards face done across the table. Have each student take turns selecting 2 cards at a time. If the cards match the student keeps the pair and gets another turn, if not, the cards should be placed back face down on the table and the other player gets a turn.
