How does the biosphere support local and indigenous people?

This is an GCSE lesson on the way biomes support indigenous and local people. It is suitable for all specification but specifically designed for the Edexcel B specs. Key facts about the lesson are:

1. The content covered by the lesson are; Different ways local people use biomes for food, medicine, housing and fuel. Different ways biomes support people lives globally. Energy flow in a ecosystem. Cause-effect analysis of exploitation of biomes. Benefits of exploitating the biosphere (benefits of deforestation) with answers.

2. Learning resources used in the lesson are; Starter quiz with answers. Written task. Analysis task using a table with answers. Exam focus question. Model answer with writing tips.

3. What do you get in the package: The lesson is planned in detail and most of the resources for teaching the lesson are included in the ppt; starter, learning activities with all resources, clear outline of learning tasks and a plenary.
