This resource gives a chance to practice how to work out material sizes from 3D product drawings. It starts with examples with given dimensions and others where dimensions have to be added by the students. Range of difficulty levels on the 5 different pages for progression and differentiation. Pages have been created in Publisher and can be edited as required.

I found this a useful way to get students used to considering material thicknesses when completing their own cutting lists when manufacturing products.

There is also an illustrated guide with explanations to help students how to take into account routed bases in box structures and when bases sit flush to edge of the sides.

The PowerPoint will support with the delivery of the lesson.
